The bark is stripped by hand from Lokta trees growing at an altitude of 2000 meters. These beautiful papers support not only the ecology of the area but also the village economies. Processed and made by hand on wooden deckles, this paper is an entirely natural product, with irregularities and flaws which only add to the charm of the paper.
